Okafor called up to replace Ideye

Warri Wolves striker, Onyekachi Okafor will now replace injured West Brom striker, Brown Ideye who has been excluded from the Super Eagles friendly matches against Uganda and South Africa.
Ideye has been left out of the Nigeria squad that will face Uganda this Wednesday after suffering an injury while playing for his club in England.
Super Eagles spokesman, Toyin Ibitoye revealed to supersport.com on Tuesday that Okafor has been called by stand-in coach, Daniel Amokachi to face the Cranes of Uganda and South Africa.
“It is a pity that Ideye will not be part of the team that will face Uganda and South Africa, but subsequently, he should be available.
“Ideye is currently nursing an injury and he has been replaced with Onyekachi Okafor for these two games.
“He's ready to face Uganda and South Africa if given the chance. He said he is happy with his call-up to the Super Eagles,” Ibitoye said to supersport.com
The friendly duel between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Cranes of Uganda kicks off from 6pm Nigerian time (7pm CAT) in Uyo.
