Micho demands killer instinct

Cranes coach Micho Sredojevic was left to rue the missed chances against Eritrea despite Uganda booking their place in the GOtv Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup quarterfinals with a game to spare.
Uganda beat Eritrea 3-0 at City Stadium with goals from Emmanuel Okwi (brace) and a Hamis Kiiza penalty to join Group C rivals Sudan in the last eight.
But Micho was not happy with how his boys reacted in the second half after taking a 3-0 resounding half time lead.
Eritrea bossed the better part of play after recess and could have gone on the score sheet had they been more clinical.
As a result, Uganda and Sudan are now level on six points and four goals, which makes the final group game such a prospect. Of course Micho would have wanted better permutations.
“Look,” he told SuperSport.com after the match, “If we had scored more than three goals, a draw against Sudan would have been enough for us to top the group.
“It seems to be the nature our players to relax after scoring three. Instead of having that killer instinct and going for more, they relax.
“We have put ourselves in this situation to almost concede one goal, and put ourselves in a position where we must beat Sudan to be first in our group.” Uganda and Sudan face off on Thursday.
