Wikki Tourists coach, Ahmed Abdul-Pele has said the side have launched an operation aimed at keeping the entire squad for their campaign in the 2013/14 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Bauchi-based side were relegated to the nation's second tier alongside Kwara United, ABS and 3SC at the end of the 2012/13 Glo Premier League season.
Abdul-Pele said the Wikki management is working round the clock to ensure none of the players leaves the side to elsewhere as the management wants a season residence before it bounces back to the top flight.
"The management plans to recall the players back to camp where it hopes to persuade the players not to seek greener pastures elsewhere but keep faith with the side and work assiduously for its comeback to the Premier League.
"Part of the discussions will see the management proposing some financial incentives to discourage the players from leaving.
"I'm convinced we've quality players in our fold who can still deliver the goods at the appointed time and if we succeed to keep them together we'll be quickly heading back to the elite league at the end of the season.
"We only need to bring in few players especially sharp attackers to make the side excellent and good to head off to a fine campaign in the lower league.
"We've lined up programmes for our pre-season including test matches to fully prepare us for the rigour expected in the Nigeria National League.
"I'm convinced we won't spend more than a season in the lower league before heading back to the elite league where we truly belong," said Abdul-Pele to supersport.com.
Abdul-Pele resolved to stay back with Wikki in order to fight for their comeback to the Premier League.
