Al Salmiya of Kuwait have announced the release of their Egyptian attacker Amr Zaki after meeting with the player Wednesday.
Zaki joined Al Salmiya last summer after leaving his former team ENPPI.
" We ended the contract of Zaki. He is very good player but he was simply not lucky with us. Both sides agreed it was for the best. " Al Salmiya director Adel Yousef told supersport.com
"Zaki was unlucky with us. He played too many matches with the Egyptian National Team and picked up several injuries . We simply need to sign a new player that can give us more and we wish him good luck" Adel added.
Meanwhile Zaki responded saying " I had a good time at the club but it's time to leave and leave on good terms which is important.”
Reports are hinting that Zaki may be linked with the two Egyptian sides Zamalek and Ismaily.
