Tunisia accepts Fifa decision

Tunisia football federation says it will not appeal Fifa’s decision that turned down complaints lodged against Cameroon for allegedly using unqualified players in the World Cup playoff.
After losing 4-1 on aggregate, Tunisia had contested the eligibility of Joel Matip and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, both of whom were born in Germany to Cameroonian fathers and German mothers.
However, Fifa ruled that Cameroon did not breach any regulations in fielding the duo against Tunisia, confirming the Indomitable Lions qualification to their seventh World Cup finals.
Local editorialists in Tunis suggest that officials backed out of taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) because the international arbitration body rarely overturns Fifa rulings.
