Mpumalanga Black Aces are ready for their MultiChoice Diski Challenge semifinal match against Mamelodi Sundowns, coach Lombi Mabusela said.
The two sides meet at the Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Sunday, kickoff is at 12pm.
“The preparations have gone well, although it’s been a bit difficult now with the start of the PSL.”
“Some of our key players went to camp with the first team, Aubrey Modiba is one of them. But all in all everything has gone well," Mabusela told supersport.com.
The coach will be hoping to field a strong side for the match despite the first team also playing this weekend.
“We not sure whether they won’t be available, we will get confirmation from the senior team, cause they would have played the PSL match.”
Mabusela is pleased about the way their preparations for the semifinal have gone.
“The boys are on cloud nine, physically they are ready, unless something comes up. But up to this far everything is in order.
“We are confident that we will do well against them. Moreover now we had time to analyse their videos, we were even lucky that we watched the last game they played," he revealed.
Aces remained at the King Zwelithini Stadium after beating Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 in their quarterfinal match and watched Sundowns taking on Polokwane City, getting a better view of their opponents.
“Based on that, we are very confident,” Mabusela said.
The club's former captain also asked the fans to come and watch the games on Sunday, saying that will be good for the teams.
“We urge the people from PE to come in numbers. Because as much as it’s mostly Gauteng teams that will be playing their support is needed, more especially for the youngsters.
“And I think the kids there will also be motivated to want to be part of it in future," concluded Mabusela.
