Al Ahly medical staff have announced that their Nigerian striker Peter Ebimobowei needs at least a week to be fit and back in action with the entire team.
Ebimobowei picked up an injury in his team's 3-1 victory against Ittihad Al Shorta last Saturday in the Egyptian league when he scored his first goal for the Cairo Red Devils.
"Peter picked up a muscle injury and he needs one week to recover. He has been treated," Al Ahly doctor Khaled Mahmoud said.
Supersport.com has been informed that Al Ahly head coach Juan Carlos Garrido asked his medical staff to do their best to ensure the Nigerian striker is ready for the Caf Super Cup against ES Sétif of Algeria this month.
Al Ahly will travel to Algeria on February 19 and will play the Super Cup on February 21.
