French top flight side Bastia were fined €35 000 on Friday after their fans unfurled an anti-Qatar banner during a match against Paris Saint-Germain.
The banner, which appeared at the Corsicans' Furiani stadium on January 10, read: "Qatar finances PSG... and terrorism".
PSG are owned by Qatar Sports Investment, a 100 percent Qatari private shareholding company.
Qatar is part of the US-led coalition against the Islamic State group, but has been accused of allowing money to be funnelled to Islamic State jihadists, something it denies. The tiny Gulf state has also denied accusations that it funds Islamist groups in Syria, as well as Egypt's banned Muslim Brotherhood, following Arab Spring uprisings.
