The Tunisian Football Federation has announced that senior team head coach Georges Leekens will remain in his position.
Leekens led the Carthage Eagles to reach the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal before losing to hosts Equatorial Guinea.
The coach's contract with Tunisia will expire in March as he signed a one-year deal in March 2014.
According to Tunisian media, the FTF, under the leadership of Wadie Jary, has decided to keep Leekens as head coach after his work with the team in the past months.
The FTF board decided to give the Belgian coach another chance with the team in his next stint with the North African Nation.
The 65-year-old head coach is a target of a number of national teams, including Egypt.
< p>The Egyptian Football Association recently revealed that Leekens is among their shortlisted coaches for the head coach role of the Pharaohs.
