Plateau United technical adviser, Bala Nkiyu has said he will repay the side’s unshaken trust in him with success.
The management of the Tin City side on Monday mandated the nation’s U-17 women team (Flamingoes) coach to guide the newcomers in the coming 2015/16 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
Nkiyu said he is very much at home in Plateau United and will hit the ground running almost immediately.
“The good thing is that I have handled bigger teams in the past as well as Plateau United in 2008.
“I’m very much at home in Plateau United and quite used to the system and will certainly hit the ground running.
“I will endeavour to repay the management with success the confidence and trust in me in the coming season.
“Usually I repay trust with success wherever I had the privilege to guide so Plateau will not be an exception.
“I was not handed any mandate but trusted to handle the side and when you are in your own house you need nobody to condition or dictate for you what to eat.
“I have been there previously I can tell in confidence that Plateau United are in good hands and quite safe,” said the former Niger Tornadoes head coach to supersport.com.
Incidentally, Nkiyu’s first league assignment will be against former side, Niger Tornadoes on Sunday, February 21.
