Sunrise out to stop Rayon Sports

Newly promoted Sunrise will be looking to finish the season on a high when they take on Rayon Sports in a National Football League encounter on Wednesday afternoon at the Muhanga Stadium.
“We want to defeat Rayon Sports and our preparations have been good leading up to this game," a confidnent Sunrise coach, Thierry Nzunga, told supersport.com”
Nzunga will be relying on the club’s highest goal scorer Patrick Munyankindi with five goals this season to find the back of the net against the Blues.
However, against the central defensive pairing of Faustin Usengimana and James Tubane, Munyankindi will be up against a strong and physical partnership that kept a clean sheet in their recent two games including a 4-0 win over Etincelles and 1-0 to victory over Rayon Sports in the past fortnight.
“Keeping clean sheets in consecutive games gives us confidence as a team and we shall be looking to maintain this when we host Sunrise,” said Usengimana.
Rayon Sports sit in fourth position with 33 points from 22 games and will be hoping to register victory in a bid to maintain pressure on the third placed Police FC who have 39 points from 23 games.
“We want to finish as high as possible on the table standings and if we win all our remaining games, we could even finish in the top three,” explained Jean Baptiste Kayiranga, head coach Rayon Sports.
Kayiranga took over the reins at the Nyanza-based side a month ago and has since won all his domestic matches despite losing his first game in charge, a 3-0 loss to Egyptian giants Zamalek in the first round of the Caf Champions League earlier this month.
