Warri Wolves attacking midfielder, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu has said his side will come back with the Caf Confederation Cup group ticket at the expense of the Congolese side, FC MK Etancheite.
Wolves will take the 2-1 first fixture win in Warri to Kinshasa for the decisive clash billed for the 80,000 seats Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa on Friday.
The Nigerian star missed the first leg clash as he was on national duty with the Supersand Eagles in Seychelles.
Ibenegbu said the addition of players who missed the first leg fixture in Warri will greatly help the side in Friday’s crucial clash at FCMK in Kinshasa.
“I think we’ve prepared adequately for the decisive second leg encounter at FCMK in Kinshasa on Friday.
“What we need right now is luck and concerted prayers of Nigerians to perform very well on match day.
“More so now we’re complete side unlike the first leg clash in Warri when some key players were conspicuously missing the game on Friday in Kinshasa will certainly present a different opportunity for us.
“Of course, we achieved victory in the first leg, we’re not going to defend the advantage but strive to win or pull a draw.
“However, no matter how the match turns out I’m confident we’re coming back to Nigeria with the group ticket at the expense of FCMK.
“We’ve the added responsibility not to disappoint Nigerians not after three other nation’s campaigners crashed out from the continental duties,” said the former Heartland playmaker to supersport.com.
Aggregate winners of the clash will advance to the group stage of Africa’s second tier clubs competition.
