Yanga seal title in fine style

Young Africans have claimed the Tanzania Premier League crown with two games remaining, their 25th league title overall.
‘Yanga’ as the capital-based club is nicknamed made certain of the title after a 4-1 thrashing of relegation-threatened Polisi Morogoro on Monday at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
A hat-trick from Burundi-import Amissi Tambwe and other by Simon Msuva was enough for the Jangwani Street outfit to wrestle the title back from Azam FC, despite Nicholas Kabipe grabbing a consolation for the struggling side.
Young Africans now have 55 points from 24 games, which takes the championship race beyond last season winners, Azam, which has bagged 45 points from 23 games.
Bitterest rivals, Simba occupy a distant third with 41 points from 24 games in the 14-club league.
Yanga, currently involved at the 1/8th round of the 2015 Orange CAF Confederation Cup will represent Tanzania in next year’s CAF Champions League.
