Luck eluded Algeria – Soudani

El Arbi Hillel Soudani managed to equalize early in the second half against Ivory Coast in Sunday's Afcon quarterfinals before missing a little later the purpose of the break, which will be the turning point of the match.
The Ivorians outscored Algeria courtesy two goals from Wilfried Bony and Gervinho to register a 3-1 victory in Malabo.
The 27-year-old Dinamo Zagreb forward argues the Desert Foxes are walking out of the Afcon with heads held high as they were eluded by luck despite playing better than their opponents.
“We played a great game but luck was not on our side. Ivory Coast got three chances and they utilized all,” Soudani examined.
”We can walk out of this match with our heads up because we gave our all. That’s football there is a winner and a loser but it is difficult to admit this defeat because we were better than them.”
“There is no excuse. We dominated the encounter but the Ivorians were more efficient. This defeat will not stop our momentum, we have other challenges. We will pursue our work to get there.”
