Tunisia stands firm

Tunisia FA held a meeting on Wednesday to review CAF sanctions spelt after the fracas witnessed following poor officiating that ensured their elimination from the ongoing African Cup of Nations at the hands of Equatorial Guinea.
According to local media, the federation has refused to apologize as directed by the continental governing football body.
This comes after Tunisia FA president Wadie Jary resigned from the organization committee as protest and the team attempt to assault the referee.
CAF asked Equatorial Guinea to estimate the cost of damage that will be compensated by the North African side and fined them $50000 for the players' inexcusable conduct.
They were further instructed to offer an apology to CAF for insinuations of bias and lack of ethics against the CAF and its officials, or to present irrefutable evidence to substantiate the accusations of the Tunisia FA before February 5 midnight or else face more sanctions and expulsion from the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
So far, none of the above conditions have been adhered to as the clock winds down.
