Gyan to undergo late fitness test

Ghana will wait until the late to declare Asamoah Gyan's status before Thursday's Afcon semi.
The skipper has been injured following a tackle by Guinea goalkeeper in the Ghana's 3-0 win on Sunday in Malabo.
But assistant coach says Gyan will be subjected to a late fitness test to see if he can play against Equatorial Guinea in the tournament's second semifinal.
"Gyan is so important to this team and we always wish he could take part,” Maxwell Konadu said.
"We are not ruling him out yet but we’ll see how it goes [on Thursday]."
But in case the 29 year old cannot feature, Ghana have the ability to win, as they showed in their last qualifier.
"But just in case he cannot make it, we’ve been there before. We’ve played matches that he wasn’t part of the team and yet still the rest of the guys played out their hearts and got us this far."
The Ghana team has been tight-lipped on the results of the scans the player has undergone in the eastern town of Mongomo.
