Mwape joins Zambia camp

Amazulu striker Bornwell Mwape has joined the Zambia camp ahead of Sunday’s friendly against Rwanda, to be played at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Mwape is the first of the five foreign-based players called-up for the March 29 friendly to join camp.
“We have also called Bornwell, for a long time we have not seen him so we want to give a platform and see how he can fit in,” Zambia coach Honour Janza said.
Mwape returns to the Zambia fold for the first time since December 2013, when he was part of the 2013 Cecafa Cup team that finished third at the tournament held in Kenya.
Meanwhile, Janza is still awaiting defender Kabaso Chanda, midfielder Given Singuluma and Zambia captain Rainford Kalaba all of DR Congo champions TP Mazembe including left-back Aaron Katebe from FC Platinum in Zimbabwe.
The five members of the Zambia Under-23 trio who arrived on Tuesday from Nigeria to play a 2015 All-Africa Games qualifier against their hosts were also expected in camp.
“By Wednesday we should have a full squad the TP Mazembe will make the concluding number of late arrivals , the Under-23 player’s will be joining us Tuesday afternoon,” Janza said.
The friendly will be Zambia’s first game since their preliminary round exit from the 2015 Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea.
