Onyango wants to set things even

Cranes of Uganda goalkeeper Dennis Onyango is excited to be back in Nigeria and hopes his team can win Wednesday's international friendly with Nigeria.
Onyango was part of the Uganda team that lost 1-0 to Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta in March 2007 in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Mamelodi Sundowns shot stopper says they are in Nigeria to gain experience and also avenge the loss in 2007.
"I was part of the team that lost in Nigeria in 2007. We played quite well in that match and I think we should have gotten something out of it,"he told supersport.com.
"Nigeria is a very good side despite the fact they didn't qualify for the 2015 Afcon, but that doesn't take anything away from them.
"We expect a tough game, it's a friendly, but we are going to try and win game.
Onyango also expressed his optimism that the Uganda team will be soon challenging for honors in Africa again after years of failure.
The Cranes narrowly missed qualifying for the 2015 Afcon in a group that had Ghana, Togo and Guinea, but Onyango feels the Cranes are on the up.
"We have a young team here and we are trying to build a side capable of challenging for honors,"he said.
"As you are aware, we narrowly missed qualifying for the Afcon this year and we are already preparing ourselves for the 2017 event.
"Coach Micho (Milutin Sredojevic) is really doing well and I believe if we continue like this then we can take Uganda back to the glory days."Onyango enthused.
Uganda will take on Nigeria in an international friendly at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium on Wednesday in a first meeting between the two sides in eight years.
