Moroka Swallows expect to announce their new coach on Thursday or latest by the end of the week.
Club CEO Leon Prins would give nothing away in terms of names, but has told supersport.com that they are very close to reaching an agreement.
“It will be tomorrow [Thursday] or the next day, we are still doing a bit of talking and discussing things, but it is close,” Prins said.
Local media has been abuzz with speculation as to the name of the new boss, with former Platinum Stars and SuperSport United coach Cavin Johnson seemingly the favourite.
He has also been linked with a return to Dikwena if they sack Allan Freese as expected this week, which could throw a potential spanner in the works for Swallows.
Ex-Maritzburg United boss Ian Palmer has also been interviewed for the job.
