Fifa have unveiled the first team ranking of year with Germany, Argentina and Colombia holding the top three spots, while Belgium, the Netherlands and Brazil follow in logical order.
In Africa, Algeria remain the number one team in 18th position overall, followed by Tunisia 22nd and Ivory Coast 28th – all bound for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.
In the top 20 African teams, only Mali and Gabon gained points, one and three respectively. DR Congo and Burkina Faso lost one point each while Zambia lost four. The other teams retained their score from the previous ranking.
