Martinez out of Bayern training camp

Bundesliga champions and leaders Bayern Munich left for a training camp in Qatar on Friday, with Holger Badstuber, David Alaba and Javi Martinez among the 26 players on board.
Badstuber and Alaba are to be integrated slowly into training again in Doha from inuuries while Martinez is to continue his rehabilitation programme from a ruptured cruciate knee ligament.
Two other long-term injury casualties, captain Philipp Lahm and Thiago, stayed behind in Munich.
"We have a few players to integrate. Holger badstuber has returned. We hope to lead David Alaba back (into the team) as well during the training camp," Munich sports director Matthias Sammer said.
Coach Pep Guardiola and the players will return to Munich on January 18 from the camp which includes two tune-up games.
Bayern hold an 11-point lead over Wolfsburg and the two sides meet in Wolfsburg to end the winter break on January 30.
Xherdan Shaqiri has left for Inter Milan and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has joined Augsburg on loan but Sammer reiterated that Munich plan no new signings during the January transfer window.
"Nothing is planned and unless something happens we won't do anything," Sammer said.
Munich had also ended their transfer activities in summer when Martinez injured himself, prompting them to sign Xabi Alonso from Real Madrid.
