Stephen Adams is sad about not making Ghana's Afcon team, but is rooting for the Black Stars nonetheless.
The Aduana Stars goalkeeper was dropped at the weekend as the side headed to southern Spain to finish off pre-tournament preps.
Spain-based Razak Brimah, DR Congo-based Ernest Sowah and former number one Fatau Dauda were preferred to Adams, who featured during the qualifiers.
“Nobody will be happy if you are dropped from national team call-ups. I am sad but that is the decision of the coach and I have to accept it in good faith,” Adams said.
“He is our coach and we must respect his decisions, for now I am not part of the team and so all that I can do is to wish them all the best and hope that things go on well as planned by the team. All that I have to do is to work harder and get back into the team to help my country.”
Ghana will face Senegal, Algeria and South Africa in the group stage.
