Ghana fitness concerns increase

The physical conditioning of the Black Stars continues to be suspect for the umpteenth straight year.
A notable problem since the departure of Milovan Rajevac after the 2010 World Cup, fitness has been a major factor in Ghana's lack of consistency over 90 minutes.
“The players are doing their maximum best but I think that some of them will have to up their condition, it is not even up to satisfactory,” says Jamie Lawrence, a fitness expert brought on board by Ghana boss, Avram Grant.
The 44-year-old, with the Equatorial Guinea tournament coming, is with the side in Spain for their pre-tournament preps.
Lawrence is a former Jamaica national team and Leicester City player and he has been generally positive about the atmosphere around the Black Stars.
“It has been a good experience for me personally and I am ready for the task ahead,” Jamie Lawrence is quoted by the Sports Crusader as saying.
