Nigeria’s leading indigenous sportswear producers, OWU, is set to boost the profile of grassroots tournaments in the country.
SuperSport.com gathered that the brand is working on developing jerseys to bring more excitement to up-and-coming players across the country.
“The grassroots remain the most important sector because it accommodates the largest number of talents in the country. However, we have since discovered that these talents use inferior products for their competitions.
“Our desire as a Nigerian brand is to ensure emerging talents and teams have access to quality jerseys to boost their performance.
“Interested grassroots sports organizers can download forms from our website”, Brown told SuperSport.com
OWU has since evolved into Nigeria’s top sportswear producer within a short time.
Top professional clubs in the country like Shooting Stars, Lobi Stars, ABS, Supreme Court, FRSC and Kogi United amongst others have been kitted by the OWU brand.
In addition, former Nigerian Internationals, Austin “Jay-Jay” Okocha, Celestine Babayaro, Emmanuel Babayaro and Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi amongst others have also used the OWU brand during the Friends For Africa Charity match.
Interestingly, OWU recently entered the history books with the first-ever endorsement deal in the league for 2014 League Bloggers Awards (LBA) Player of the Year Nominee, Peter Ebimobowei.
