Accam wants more game time

David Accam says being a 'bench prefect' for Ghana is no fun anymore.
The player, who signed for MLS side Chicago Fire in the last fortnight, got his first Black Stars call up under Kwesi Appiah but has struggled to break into the first team.
All this has been despite an impressive goal scoring ratio. He left his Swedish club, Helsinborgs, after scoring 38 goals in 81 appearances.
The youngster gave his thoughts to TV3, a local Ghanaian station.
"Yes, I always get disappointed when I don’t get the chance to show what I can do but you have to respect the decision of the national team’s coaches because they want the best for the country."
"If they think this team is the best to win games for Ghana then I respect their decision."
On the Afcon, the player who has made it into the 26-man provisional squad of Avram Grant is adamant the team is determined to do well despite the quality of opposition they are faced with.
"You go into the tournament and you want to do well and I know we have a lot of quality in the team. Even though it will be tough I know that we can do well."
The 24-year old is in the south of Spain with the team for pre-tournament camping and will hope to make the final 23 to be named by midnight of Wednesday.
