Egyptian league restarts March 20

Egyptian Minister of Youth, Khaled Abdel-Aziz, announced after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday that the Premier League will restart on March 20 after the end of the mourning period.
The Egyptian cabinet had decided to suspend the Premier League indefintely after 22 Zamalek fans died before a league match in early February.
The country's prime minister, Ibrahim Mahlab, agreed to allow the league season restart after consultations with theministry of interior and sports and the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
The 40-day mourning period for the 22 fans killed during the fracas will end on March 19.
“The league will return back without fans. This is the cabinet's decision," Khaled Abdel-Aziz the minister of youth and sports said.
Supersport.com has been informed that the EFA will hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss the decision and prepare for the restart of the league.
