URA look to complete job

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) are in Madagascar to try complete their Caf Confederations Cup job.
The Ugandan representatives face hosts Elgeco Plus at the Municipal Stadium of Mahamasina on Saturday knowing a draw, or at worst, a 2-1 defeat, will see them progress to the first round.
But having seen his team give away two goals (3-2 victory) in the first leg, URA coach Alex Isabirye knows a plan to shut shop may not be the best option.
“I will not go to defend,” Isabirye told supersport.com, adding, “As you saw in the first leg they came at us and attacked us which means they will do the same at home.
“So the best way is not going mainly to defend but to go look for that early goal while keeping our guard at the back.
“Our defending at home was poor but we have been working hard to rectify the mistakes. Our strikers have also looked sharper in training and Sentongo (Robert, scorer of a brace in the first leg) has obviously benefited from more time with the team.”
The striker had only three days’ training prior to the first leg. Frank Kalanda scored URA’s winner and is likely to partner Ssentongo in the search for goals.
Deo Othieno is favourite to replace Jonathan Mugabi, who was red-carded in the first leg, in central defence while Isabirye will have to make a decision on whether to start Elukanah Nkugwa and Ali Feni, both of whom were impact subs in Kampala.
The winners of the tie face South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in the first round mid next month.
