Aminu wants top flight for Kogi United

Kogi United mildfielder Kadiri Aminu has revealed that the target for his side's next term is to get a promotion ticket to the Glo Premier League.
Last season in the National League, Kogi United were among the strong contenders for the top flight ticket in Group A, but lost the fight to Wikki Tourists and Kwara United.
Aminu, however, said to supersport.com that the Lokoja-based club have began serious and adequate preparation that would help them be Premier League campaigners next year in Nigeria's top flight.
“We tried our best to get one of the premier League tickets in our Group last season, but unfortunately, things could not work the way we wanted it.
“We have one of the best stadiums in this country, and our fans are waiting and clamoring for us to play in the Glo Premier League.
“Our boss, (Abdul Adama) is a man who always plans ahead, and I pray his plans for us next season in the National League would help us get a promotion ticket,” Aminu said to supersport.com
Close to three top flight campaigners have signified their intention to sign Aminu this month, but the former ABS captain rejected the offers.
“I am happy here in Kogi United because this club is just like a family filled with love,” the former KFA schoolboy said to supersport.com
