DR Congo present a united front

Coach Florent Ibenge says the team spirit in the DR Congo camp is shaping up to make this a memorable Africa Nations Cup.
DR Congo on Thursday face Cape Verde in a penultimate Group B match in Ebebiyin knowing that victory will move them closer to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2006 in Egypt.
Kickoff of the match is at 9pm with all to play for as all teams in Group B are tied on one point each.
DR Congo showed a snippet of the potential of things to come in Equatorial Guinea after rallying from one down in the second minute to dominate Zambia and finish 1-1 in a Group B opener on January 18.
“The players have the desire to win. It is an internal motivation," Ibenge said.
"They said it, they want to go far. So it makes me happy. A victory will bring happiness as it always do in our country. It is also the role of football."
DR Congo qualified to the Africa Cup after clinching the lone third best place on offer after holding their own in a tough Group D that contained Ivory Coast and Cameroon.
The major highlight in their qualifying race was a 4-3 away victory over Ivory Coast in one of their three wins on their way to amassing the nine points that ensured The Leopards’ Africa Cup ticket.
