Stars hit back at Sekola claims

Free State Stars have issued a stern denial that the club is in talks with Kaizer Chiefs over the future of Bafana Bafana striker Moeketsi Sekola.
Stars general manager Rantsi Mokoena described the report in a local football newspaper as a “joke” and dismissed the claims of the player’s agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi that he was in talks with Amakhosi.
“I can categorically tell you that Chiefs haven’t spoken to us about the player. I don’t know where this agent is getting his information from. It’s a joke as far as I’m concerned. It’s sad that he’s messing with the player’s head,” Mokoena told the club’s website.
Mulovhedzi had earlier told the football publication that Sekola was headed for Naturena.
“Chiefs are back with their interest for Moeketsi Sekola. The two teams are in negotiations about the matter,” Mulovhedzi was quoted as saying.
“I had a chat with Bobby (Motaung) about it and I referred him to Free State Stars. They are talking and it seems that Rantsi (Mokoena) has no problem with it.
“He said he might be willing to release the player for a good offer,” Mulovhedzi alleged.
