Sokari to play against Enyimba

Enyimba starlet, Kingsley Sokari will play against the People’s Elephant at the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) pre-season tournament when the competition gets underway in Abuja.
The two-time African club champions will face Dolphins, Kano Pillars, Warri Wolves as well as the national Under-20 and Under-23 sides in the tournament which gets underway on January 24.
Sokari was recently called up by Nigeria’s Under-20 coach, Manu Garba as he rounds up the final phase of his preparations for the 2015 Africa Under-20 football championships and speculations understandably reached fever pitch as to which of the sides the youngster will line up for at the tournament.
Enyimba FC however confirmed to supersport.com on Friday that Sokari will play for the Flying Eagles at the tournament.
“Sokari will play for the Flying Eagles at the tournament,” Enyimba’s media chief, Farriel Allaputa said.
Speaking on the development, the 19-year-old said he would “feel strange” when he eventually lines up against Enyimba in Abuja.
“It will be a strange feeling for me because I have never played for any other club apart from Enyimba,” he said.
He added that 2015 will be a challenging year for him as he would be challenging for personal and collective glory on three fronts.
“I will be fighting for Enyimba in the league and the Caf Champions League.
“The Flying Eagles will be in competing at the AYC in Senegal and I will be doing my best to see that we win the title.
“Hopefully, I will also try to help the Super Eagles return to the top again,” he said.
