Egyptian side Zamalek have announced that midfielder Omar Gaber has extended his contract with the team until 2018.
Gaber's contract with Zamalek expires at the end of this season which could have meant he could join another team for free. But Zamalek were able to persuade him to extend his contract.
"Gaber put pen to paper for another three season on Thursday after the team's training. That is a good step for the team to keep a player like Gaber," Zamalek board member Ahmed Mortada said.
Sources revealed to supersport.com that the Zamalek board promised the 22-year-old Gaber to let him try his chance in Europe if he has offers.
Zamalek promoted Gaber from the youth team to the seniors since 2010 and he has become one of the key players in the team.
