Black Stars March dates confirmed

The Ghana FA has revealed reaching agreements in principle for friedlies with two countries for the Black Stars later this month.
But the football governing body is keeping the names of opponents under wraps till contracts are signed before making it official.
“For the friendlies, we are almost through. Let me say that we have two games on the 28th and the 31st. We are yet to sign the contracts and so when we sign we will announce the opponents. But we’ve gone very far with the discussions and negotiations,” said Ghana FA president Kwasi Nyantakyi.
The opponents
Despite the Ghana FA’s open reluctance to name the countries to face Avram Grant’s Afcon silver-winning side, supersport.com’s checks have revealed that the Teranga Lions of Senegal will be the team’s first opponent in France.
The international friendly has been tentatively agreed for the 25,000-capacity Stade OcĂ©ane, home ground of Ligue 2 side Le Havre at 6pm GMT on March 28. This will be new coach and ex-player Aliou Cisse’s first game in charge as coach of the Senegal national team. Both sides met on January 19 at the 2015 Afcon and Senegal came out 2-1 victors.
An encounter with the Eagles of Mali looks likely though initial reports from the West African neighbours had suggested the friendly for March 29. Should the Ghana FA go on to confirm Mali as the second opponents for the Black Stars, the game will thus come off on March 31 instead as stated by the Ghana FA president in his press briefing on Tuesday.
Head coach Avram Grant has stated that he will be naming a few new faces in the squad for both friendlies.
