Meteors coach wants seven foreign pros

Ghana Under-23 team coach Malik Jabir has requested the invitation of seven foreign-based players to face Mozambique next weekend.
The Black Meteors are preparing to host Mozambique under-23s in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers to the 2015 All Africa Games slated for Brazzaville later in September.
Supersport.com is reliably informed the Meteors technical team has asked the Ghana FA to assist in getting about seven foreign-based players, some of which include ex-Ghana under-20s, Rahman Chibsah (Sassuolo, Italy), Ebenezer Ofori (AIK Stockholm, Sweden), Anderlecht’s Frank Acheampong and Adam Basit (Free State Stars, South Africa).
Serbian side Cukaricki’s attacking midfielder Obeng Regan as well as Isaac Honny who plays for Thai club BEC Tero Sasana are some of the players expected to join camp for the final lap of qualifiers to the All Africa Games.
Honny, a central defender, is not new to the current team as he previously trained with the side during the Christmas break.
Meanwhile, the local batch of the Black Meteors are currently in camp without players from Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak due to their involvement in the Caf inter-club competitions this weekend.
