Udube insists on point at Sunshine Star

Gabros FC coach Willie Udube has said the newcomers are positive for a decent result at Sunshine Stars.
The Nnewi-based side will be the guests of the Akure Gunners in Sunday’s Glo Premier League match day 2 clash at the Akure Township Stadium.
Udube said his side have corrected the mistakes in the tie against Warri Wolves to put them in good stead to challenge Sunshine Stars for the maximum three points.
“After our game against Warri Wolves we noted some mistakes which we’ve quickly corrected aimed at giving Sunshine Stars a good fight for the three points at stake on Sunday.
“I believe the players are mentally, physically and psychologically prepared to give their very best against Sunshine Stars.
“We’re looking forward to a decent result, worst case scenario, we’ll make do with a point,” said Udube to supersport.com.
Udube said his side will certainly challenge for the top prizes in the Nigerian top flight in the ongoing season.
“It’ll be a big disaster for Gabros FC to go back to the Nigeria National League (NNL) after eight-year spell.
“I believe we’ve come to stay in the Nigerian top flight and will certainly challenge for the hot prizes.
“Personally, my ambition is to take Gabros to the continent at the end of the ongoing league season,” said Udube.
Gabros FC opened their debut title account brightly with an emphatic 2-0 win against Warri Wolves in Sunday’s match day 1 clash in Nnewi.
