Hearts, Kotoko in tricky ties

Sekondi Hassacas will kick off match day 10 of the First Capital Plus Premier League with Hearts of Oak on Saturday.
The Sekondi side unlike in the past seasons, are on the verge of making the Essipong Stadium a fortress this term as they are yet to drop a point at home in four games this season – 12 points with 8 goals scored and conceded 2. They however have a tough nut to crack in the frame of the resurging Accra Hearts of Oak. The Phobians are brimming with confidence from their Caf Confederation campaign as well their last league win over second placed Aduana Stars.
The Dormaa Park will host match day 10’s topliner on Sunday as Aduana Stars welcome leaders AshantiGold. The two sides are separated atop the log by 6 points. The hosts are another of the sides who have won all home games so far – intriguingly, by a one goal score line.
Separated by a point, third placed Heart of Lions (on 15 points) and Academy boys, WAFA SC, will battle for supremacy at the Kpando Park on Sunday. Both sides have shown good encouraging form so far with the Academy side doing their best to prove being the surprise of the season.
With new coach Mohammed Gargo taking charge of his first game, B.A United will be hoping to halt their run of poor results at home to Wa All Stars. The Soccer Apostles are currently bottom of the log with 7 points.
Berekum Chelsea will travel to face New Edubiase United at the Len Clay Stadium while Liberty Professionals host Bechem United at the Carl Reindorf.
Holders Asante Kotoko ahead of their Caf Champions League trip will hope to leave the country on a winning note in a tricky tie with Medeama SC in Kumasi. The visitors are three points better than the porcupine warriors who lie 13th with 10 points.
Great Olympics will be fancying to lift themselves from relegation places as 4th placed Inter Allies come visiting at the Accra Stadium on Sunday.
