Melai out of Lobi’s league opener

Lobi Stars first-choice goalkeeper, Terkaa Melai, has been ruled out of the club’s league opener at Bayelsa United.
Melai, who set a league record with seven goals from penalties last term, sustained an injury during training.
“It’s painful. After preparing and working hard for the league to resume, I suddenly realize it won’t be so after all.
“This situation is like expulsion in final year after all the preparation,” he told supersport.com.
However, the goalkeeper remains positive despite the setback.
“Injury is part of football, but I will bounce back in style,” he said to supersport.com.
Melai made his top flight debut for “The Pride of Benue” on the last day of the 2011/12 season at Kaduna United and has since remained an influential member of the team.
