Chiefs, Swallows set for epic derby

Moroka Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa has expressed that players need to take the initiative and stand up for themselves when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in an Absa Premiership match on Wednesday at Dobsonville stadium.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
The birds suffered a fifth defeat from their last six league matches when they were beaten 2-1 by Black Aces on Saturday.
Tsutsulupa said each player needs to stand up and pull their socks high because all has been said and done.
“I think it is all up to individuals now to stand up and take the initiative of leading and giving their best performance," said Tsutsulupa.
"We have not been getting the desired results and everyone is aware of that, but what important is that we act and keep fighting till the end.”
The Swallows skipper added that as much as Chiefs are leading the log, they will be low on confidence since they lost in their CAF match on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium to Raja Casablanca.
“I think it’s not going to be an easy match, but the common factor between us is that we both coming from defeats, so we will be looking forward to a win," added Tsutsulupa.
"Anything is possible if we commit and work as a unit, we shall get the results we desire.
“At the end of the day if we want to win and move from that position we must make sure that we collect the points required in and every game.”
The Soweto side has claimed 11 points from 12 home matches this season and is placed 15th on the Absa Premiership log with 22 points from 23 matches.
Chiefs suffered just their second league defeat of the season when they were beaten 1-0 by Maritzburg United in their last league outing.
Chiefs captain Tefu Mashamaite said as much as they are involved in many competitions at the same time, it is important that they focus on one game at a time.
“If you want to eat the elephant you must eat piece by piece," said Mashamaite.
"We have the obligation to continue inspiring the nation and so we taking every match very seriously.”
The Soweto giants have claimed 23 points from 11 away matches this season and the captain said playing against a team that needs points so much is never easy.
“It will not be an easy match, we will have to go out there prepared and put everything behind us (Maritzburg defeat), and just focus on the game at hand," continued the central defender.
"We must push for the maximum points. If we want to win the league we must continue collecting points."
