Downs aim to add to Chippa's woes

Mamelodi Sundowns will be out to add to Chippa United's woes when they welcome the Chilli Boys to Loftus Stadium for an Absa Premiership match on Wednesday evening.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
The Brazilians recorded their sixth win from seven league games, hammering Polokwane City 5-0 last week.
Buoyed by their 1-0 win in the CAF Champions League over TP Mazembe, 'Downs will be confident of brushing aside a struggling Chippa side to keep the heat on a stumbling Kaizer Chiefs otutfit who's lead atop the league standings could be cut to five points by the end off Wednesday evening's league fixtures.
Midfielder Hlompho Kekana predicts a difficult game for his troops against a side who have nothing to lose.
"When the league enters it's second round one can't predict what's going to happen next. Every point is very important and we will have to be very cautious against a Chippa side who haven't won a match in 2015. They have nothing to lose," said Kekana.
"At the same time it is a very important game for us as we aim to keep in touch with Chiefs."
Sundowns have seemingly started to peak at the right time once again and Kekana admits that belief has crept in once again.
"I think belief has crept in, when you win games your confidence starts to rise again. We believe we can do it and we can continue winning. We are all pulling in the same direction," Kekana concluded.
Chippa’s winless run was extended to 11 league matches when they were held 1-1 at home by AmaZulu on Friday evening.
Pressure has continued to grow on head coach Ernst Middendorp who is yet to win a game since being handed over the reigns at the club.
"Of course disappointment again, just 1-1 in this home game, but on the other side I believe in these players," said Middendorp following his side draw against an Usuthu side who played most of the game with 10-men.
"I belive in this team, they have the quality; we definitely will move on and we definitely will get our possibilities in the remaining seven games."
"Our mentality is not to quit or to run away."
In head-to-head stats, Sundowns and Chippa have met in three league matches since 2012/13.
The Brazilians have one win to their name, while the other two matches ended in draws.
Sundowns’ only previous home match against Chippa was a 1-0 win in the first half of the 2012/13 season.
When the teams met earlier this season in the Eastern Cape they played to a 1-1 stalemate.
