NFF general secretary Amadu resigns

The Nigeria Football Federation [NFF] general secretary, Musa Amadu has quit his position after nearly five years of service.
According to an announcement by the NFF on its website on Thursday, Amadu, 53, tendered his resignation letter dated March 18, 2015 to the football federation president, Amaju Pinnick.
Part of Amadu's resignation thanked “everyone at the NFF for the singular honour of serving our great country in this position and wish you and the NFF the very best in the years ahead.”
The NFF described Amadu as a man who went about his job as its general secretary with "professionalism, hardwork and commitment."
“We greatly appreciate his quality contributions to the development of football in Nigeria. His professionalism, hardwork and commitment to his duty helped in no little way in keeping the NFF administration stable and efficient.
“Without any doubt, when the story of Nigerian football is written, Musa Amadu’s name will be etched in gold,” said the executive committee of the NFF in a statement released on the body's website.
Amadu has been the NFF general secretary since July 2010.
The NFF has also announced Dr Mohammed Sanusi as its new general secretary.
Sanusi previously held the positions of assistant general secretary, competitions and director of competitions at the NFF.
