Duncan blasts Olympic's negative style

David Duncan expected Olympics to play an open style in their Premier League meeting in Kumasi on Sunday.
The Wonder Club clearly came with a plan to frustrate the defending league champions. And after the game the Kotoko boss was, indeed, flustered following the 0-0 drawn affair.
"I'm not impressed because even at the highest level, coaches express their anger so to speak about a team that comes to defend," the recently appointed gaffer told the media post-game.
This was a downer for fans, who had hoped for a lift after the Champions League exit against El Eulma a week ago. False hope had been fed them in the buildup to the game as the Reds had won big in the MTN FA Cup in midweek.
"It is always difficult (against teams who defend) because you have to dig deep before you can get your balls through to hurt your opponent," Duncan lamented.
But the coach was quick to concede that if Kotoko were in possession of game-changers, things could have been different: "So it's difficult and this is the kind of situations that we were in; but we need somebody with some exceptional quality to be able to unlock, but unfortunately, we didn't have any such quality."
For Great Olympics, however, they were very happy with a point, as coach Yaw Acheampong told the media afterwards.
"I am a defensive-minded coach and when I see that things are changing, I have to play to have at least a point which is better than none," Acheampong told supersport.com.
Asante Kotoko remain fifth in the league and Duncan has to cook up some magic quickly with Edubiase (away) and Lions (home) coming up.
