Wolves insist on benching FCMK

Warri Wolves striker Joseph Osadiaye has said his side will be convincing in victory against visiting Congolese opponents, FC MK Etancheite.
The Seasiders will host the Central African side in Saturday’s Caf Confederation Cup clash at the Warri Township Stadium.
Wolves overcame Ethiopian giants, Dedebit FC to reach this stage of the competition while FCMK edged Ahly Shandy of Sudan to make the second round clash.
Osadiaye said his side are determined to kill off the game on home soil to make the reverse fixture in Kinshasa a mere formality.
“Our strongest desire is to come out of the clash with a convincing win to make the second leg in Kinshasa a mere formality.
“We’ll definitely fight very hard to kill off the game right here at our backyard so that going to Congo for the second leg won’t be a do-or-die affair.
“Everybody’s mind is prepared for the clash and just waiting for match day to unleash our whole weight on the opponents.
“The encounter is certain to be difficult but we’re condemned to keep the nation’s flag flying at the continent.
“Four Nigerian club sides started the continental struggle right now we’re the only one standing so we’re carrying the burden of the whole country on our shoulders and we’ve no reason to disappoint,” said the Warri Wolves marksman to supersport.com.
The decisive clash will be held in a fortnight at the 80,000-seat Stade des Martyrs, Kinshasa, DR Congo.
