The Nigeria's Super Sand Eagles will now face Senegal on Saturday in their semifinal tie at this year's Caf Beach Soccer Championship going on in Seychelles.
Nigeria came out in flying colours in Group A of this competition as they picked up the maximum nine points and qualified for the semifinal.
Senegal on the other hand lost their last Group game 3-5 to Ghana on Thursday night, but they came out as runners up behind Madagascar who topped the second Group.
The Sand Eagles failed to qualify for the last edition of the Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti two years ago after Senegal dumped them in the semis of the Caf tournament in El Jadida, Morocco 9-8.
Nigeria's skipper, Isiaka Olawale said to supersport.com that his side would go for revenge against the Senegalese on Saturday in their last 4 tie.
“Senegal prevented us from going to the last World Cup, and here is the another chance for us to revenge. We must beat them on Saturday, and all my teammates are ready for the encounter,” Olawale said to supersport.com
This year's Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup will take place in Portugal, and Nigeria would qualify for the showpiece only if they beat Senegal on Saturday.
